Rachael-Ann Raftery is an Irish Multidisciplinary Artist living and working in the West of Ireland. Her primary focus is in embroidery design having worked in London for leading Fashion Houses Erdem and Ralph & Russo. While her paintings are an extension of her artistic expression. She graduated at the top of her class with a first class honours degree in Textile Art & Fashion Design from University of Ulster Belfast.

Memory and narrative voice drive Rachael-Ann’s designs and creative process, while love and human desire are her favoured themes. She invokes memories, telling stories through embroidery design.

Rachael-Ann enjoys mixing stimuli and experience, fusing them together creating something beautiful. Her embroidery has no limits, it’s an ongoing work of intricate art. It invites the viewer to read the narrative tales that are woven in the threads of the stitches, and interpret them in multiple way.
